School Scenes through the Lens of Sister Liliane

These photographs provide a rare glimpse of a day school on the Pukatawagan Reserve in northern Manitoba. They were taken by Sister Liliane of the Soeurs du Sacré-Coeur d'Ottawa. She and other nuns from this order worked on the reserve from the 1950s to the 1960s. Sister Liliane's negatives were salvaged from a building on the reserve before it was torn down.
